  It's a bittersweet time for fans of Harry Potter. The eighth and final movie hits theaters this summer. The series of books concluded several years ago. What's a hard-core Hogwarts fan to do?
Fear not! A newly launched URL, pottermore.com, indicates that author J.K. Rowling has a few more tricks up her sleeve. As of now, there really isn't much to go on. The site is bare-bones. Two owls sit atop branches and there's a "coming soon" message. That's it. Click on the owls and you're taken to a YouTube link with a countdown to the mysterious announcement. As of now, the big reveal is a little less than a week away on Wednesday, June 22.
Clues are frustratingly scarce, but interest in the new URL is anything but. Over the past 24 hours, web searches on "pottermore," "pottermore.com" and "new harry potter web site" have all soared like a Nimbus 2000. Related lookups on "jk rowling announcement" are also spiking. She sure knows how to drum up interest.
The Associated Press talked with Rowling spokesperson Rebecca Salt about the project. Salt did say the site is not (repeat: not) a reference to a new book nor is it "directly related" to the upcoming Potter movie, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2." Alas, the Rowling camp isn't saying anything else.
Fan sites and blogs are, of course, not letting the lack of details slow the speculation. Among the possibilities being floated around: a new amusement park, an improved website for all things Harry Potter, or, perhaps, a new Harry Potter encyclopedia. The Leaky Cauldron, one of the top Potter fansites, has a slew of theories from readers. One or the most popular: a massive multiplayer online game. If so, we got dibs on "Dumbledore."

The 25-year-old blonde, who was due to marry the 85-year-old at his mansion on Saturday, feels 'relieved' the ceremony has been called off but regrets 'disappointing everybody.'  
In a tearful interview with America's Entertainment Tonight, she said: 'I wasn't the only woman in Hef's life. I didn't feel comfortable in my heart knowing that and getting married to him, because a marriage is between two people.

She also blames 'stress' of having to deal with legal experts for her shock decision.
'We had to deal with lawyers, I never had a lawyer for anything,' she said.
'I'm going to pre-nup lawyers and lawyers to do a show - we had a two-hour special on Lifetime underway - lawyer meeting contracts, all kinds of stuff.. it was crazy.'

Meanwhile, it has emerged that the cancelled wedding could be rather costly for Hefner.

Industry expert Harmony Walton from the Bridal Bar told E! Online that the Playboy boss could have lost a minimum of $250,000 over the cancelled event.
It is thought the strawberry wedding cake and flowers for the nuptials had already been bought and paid for in full along with Harris's Romona Keveza dress.
Walton said: 'Typically everything has been bought and paid for, in full, 14 days out. There are never refunds on anything.'
And Playboy magazine have had to fork out extra cash too after making a last-minute addition to the cover of its July issue.

The Chicago-based publishing firm said it is putting red and yellow stickers over the cover image of 24-year-old Crystal Harris.
The stickers say: 'Runaway Bride in this issue!' The issue is due out tomorrow.
Ms Harris appears on the July cover wearing a sailor hat with the headline 'America's Princess introducing Mrs Crystal Hefner'. 
Mr Hefner tweeted yesterday that 'recent events call for a special sticker on the July cover.'
A Playboy spokeswoman said the magazine is adding stickers to as many issues as possible.
Hefner is clearly still reeling from the news.
He tweeted yesterday: 'I didn't see this coming, but I'm glad things went wrong before the marriage instead of after. Live & learn.
'Crystal did an interview with Ryan Seacrest this morning to explain everything, but I still don't have a clue.'
Hugh says he is grateful for all the support he has received from his friends, including Playboy playmate Anna Berglund and his former partner Holly Madison, 32.
He added: 'Holly came by to wish me well. The outpouring of support & affection from so many quarters is really touching.
'The one who has been the most supportive is Anna. She didn't see this coming either, & she's Crystal's best friend.'
Harris, who was featured in the magazine as Playmate of the Month in December 2009, has denied reports she cheated on Hefner with Dr Phi'ls son Jordan McGraw.

Crystal Harris has strenuously denied claims she cheated on Hugh Hefner with Dr. Phil's son, Jordan McGraw.

The 25-year-old made the admission after backing out of her planned wedding to the 85-year-old Playboy founder this weekend, at his famed mansion.
It all started when reports emerged after the cancelled nuptials that the young blonde was having a secret affair with songwriter McGraw.

'That is absolutely not true,' Harris' manager Michael Blakely said. 'It's a complete fabrication'
Blakely said that the relationship's dissolution was an mutual decision.
'It was an amicable split up, and they will remain good friends,' he told the New York Daily News.

Harris also took to her website to explain her decision in a statement.

It was first reported that the weekend nuptials were canned after the couple had a huge argument.
Sources at the mansion told Radaronline that after their fight over the telephone, Crystal decided to move her things out of the multi-million dollar home.
Hefner and his bride-to-be were scheduled to tie the knot this coming Saturday in a lavish ceremony.

Kate joined The Royal recycling: the Duchess's favorite coat provide an extra outing

She has injected new life into the monarchy with her much-admired sense of style.
But it seems the Duchess of Cambridge is also following a considerably older royal tradition – recycling favourite garments.
At a church service yesterday to mark the 90th birthday of the Duke of Edinburgh, Kate wore the same periwinkle blue Jacquard coat dress that she donned in 2009 for the wedding of her husband’s close friend, Nicholas van Cutsem.

Anthony Weiner Lewd Photo Controversy Prompts Congressman To Issue Apologies

(AP) NEW YORK -- His political career in jeopardy, Rep. Anthony Weiner has been making calls to colleagues to apologize for sending raunchy texts and photos to several women.
He also apologized to former President Bill Clinton, who officiated at Weiner's wedding last July, said a person with knowledge of the call. The person, who wasn't authorized to discuss the call publicly, spoke only on condition of anonymity. Weiner married Huma Abedin, a close adviser to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, at a lavish ceremony on Long Island last summer.
He reached out to fellow Democratic Rep. Edolphus Towns of New York, according to Towns' spokesman, Julian Phillips, who declined to discuss what the two lawmakers talked about.
So far, none of Weiner's House colleagues have come to his defense as pressure on him to resign has increased.
Tim Kaine, the former Democratic National Committee chairman who is running for the Senate in Virginia, became the first major Democrat to call for Weiner to step aside.
"Lying is unforgivable," he told WCAV-TV in Charlottesville, Va., on Tuesday. "Lying publicly about something like this is unforgivable and he should resign."
Weiner joined the growing list of New York politicians caught in headline-grabbing sex scandals. The disclosure by the married congressman that he sent raunchy texts and photos to several women online placed him in a rogue's gallery of Empire State elected officials better known for sexual shenanigans than legislative accomplishments.
Weiner's confession this week came just four months after an upstate New York lawmaker, Republican Rep. Chris Lee, stepped down after shirtless photos he sent to a woman he met on Craigslist were published online. A Democrat, Kathy Hochul, won a special election to replace Lee, and Democrats hailed the victory as a turning point for the party following its drubbing in the 2010 midterm elections.
But since the photo of a man's bulging underpants was sent on Weiner's Twitter account nearly two weeks ago, the "Weinergate" controversy has dominated the news and distracted attention from Democrats' efforts to slam Republicans for proposing deep cuts to Medicare. Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi formally requested an ethics probe to determine whether Weiner broke House rules, while other Democrats have stayed largely silent on his plight.

"Anthony Weiner was never known as a mature guy, and his abrasiveness has not made him any friends among his congressional colleagues," Democratic consultant George Arzt said. "I don't think he ever grew up. His behavior has always been a little out of sync from his duties."
Even if Weiner's political career does survive the controversy in the short term, his dream of running for New York mayor has likely been dashed for good. A new Marist poll showed 56 percent don't want him to be mayor, even though half don't believe he should resign his seat in Congress.
And Weiner will almost certainly be sidelined as one of the party's leading champions of liberal causes.
Scandal-weary Democrats in New York and Washington could seek other ways to marginalize Weiner, like eliminating his Brooklyn and Queens congressional district when lawmakers redraw the state's political boundaries with the results of the 2010 census. New York is to lose two seats. They could also recruit another Democrat to mount a primary challenge to Weiner if his district remains intact.
Leaders of the House Ethics Committee on Tuesday issued their first statement about Weiner but did not say an investigation was under way.
New York in recent years has emerged as something of a hub for reckless politicians who risk their power, families and reputations for sex.
Democratic Rep. Eric Massa resigned his upstate seat last year amid allegations he had sexually harassed male staffers. Massa denied the allegations but acknowledged having "tickle fights" with men in his office.
Following a drunken driving arrest in 2008, Republican Rep. Vito Fossella, a married father of three, was forced to acknowledge he had fathered a daughter with a mistress. Fossella, who represented the New York City borough of Staten Island, declined to run for re-election that year.
One of New York's most infamous political sex scandals involved former Democratic Gov. Eliot Spitzer, who resigned in 2008 after 14 months in office after being identified as "Client 9" in a prostitution bust. Before becoming governor in 2006, Spitzer, the state's former attorney general, had earned a national reputation in part for prosecuting prostitution rings.
Now a host of a political talk show on CNN, Spitzer on Monday described as "cringe-worthy" the extraordinary news conference at which Weiner acknowledged sending a photo of his barely clothed crotch to a young woman on Twitter.
"Believe me, I know. I've been there," Spitzer said, adding that the decision on whether to resign is "deeply personal."

Anthony Weiner (Getty Images) Anthony Weiner continues to stay in the news, as reports surfaced today that his wife was expecting a baby, causing people the world over to search for more pictures of the embattled (and embarassed) congressman.

On Wednesday, the New York Times reported that three independent sources have told them Weiner's wife Huma Abedin is pregnant with their first child. Weiner, 46, and Abedin, 35, were married last summer, and the congressman has insisted that they plan to stay together through the current scandal.

Europe Titantic II Sinks on Its Maiden Voyage

A 16-foot cabin cruiser named the Titanic II went the way of her namesake Sunday, when she sprung a leak and sunk on her maiden voyage, The Sun reported.

Briton Mark Wilkinson, 44, had to be rescued from the harbor at West Bay, Dorset, in the U.K., as he clung to the sinking boat.

“If it wasn’t for the harbormaster, I would have gone down with the Titanic,” Wilkinson told The Sun. “It’s all a bit embarrassing - I’m fed up with people asking me if I hit an iceberg.”

Wilkinson had bought the boat second-hand, named it the Titantic II, and decided to take it out fishing, The Sun reported. A large hole opened up in the vessel’s fiberglass hull on his way back to the harbour.

The “unsinkable” Titanic ocean liner hit an iceberg in 1912 on its maiden voyage to New York; 1,517 lives were lost.Read more: http://www.foxnews.com

Anthony Weiner Says Wife Huma Abedin Will Stay, But Will She?

Recognition of New York Rep. Anthony Weiner that he lied about sexting photo to the Seattle woman and at least five others during the last three years was shocked almost 11-month marriage to Huma Abedin.

Abedin was the old assistant to the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. 34 years have experienced embarrassing headlines in The New York Post - "balloon scandal," "Hide Weiner" and "What a Weenie" - after word got out that 21 years Gennette Cordova has received the now-famous photograph of a man's crotch congressman Twitter account it.

At the conference, press the tear-stained half-hour. yesterday, Democratic Congressman said his wife would stand by him, despite week-old scandal.

"We have no intention to split over this," said Weiner, 46, who added he will not resign from Parliament. "We will weather this I love him .. He loves me."

He said that he had told his wife about sexting with women before their marriage, but not about the latest activities online, including one with a single mother of Meagan Broussard started in April this year.

Weiner said he had never met these women personally and do not have sex outside of marriage.

The Congressman said Abedin only learned the truth he Pls Monday about the toll her sexting. She Did not show up for the press conference.

"Anybody Who is so imprudent to do any of this, is mind-boggling to me," wrote Roxanne Roberts about the affair in the gossip column, "The Reliable Source," which she co-authors for the Washington Post. "From a purely practical standpoint - what was he thinking?"

"The thought did cross into my mind - 'Who is the person most upset about these circumstances?" - And I am guessing it's probably a tie, "said Roberts. "I bet it's both these women."

"[Abedin] has been extremely private about her longtime relationship working for Hillary Clinton," she said. "She has established a reputation for someone completely loyal and utterly discreet."

Whether she takes the Clinton's path or ultimately leaves Weiner is anyone's guess.

"I would never even attempt to speculate," said Roberts. "Nobody knows much about her emotional life or how likely, she will from this process. It all goes back to the old dictum - you can not know what a marriage is like by just looking in."

Abedin began her career in 1996 as a White House intern, then later served as Hillary Clinton's traveling chief of staff and "body woman" During her 2008 presidential campaign.

Born in Kalamazoo, Mich.., She was the daughter of an Iranian scholar of Indian descent and a Pakistani mother Who is a Sociology professor in Saudi Arabia, Nowhere she was raised. She Came to the United States to attend George Washington University.
